Be Financially Smart (BFS) is a financial literacy show that aims to inform and provide personal financial education to consumers. The Be Financially Smart program’s core objectives are: to equip consumers with financial literacy, sufficient to drive consumer behavior, and at the same time increasing FNB’s brand awareness therefore keeping the brand top of mind.
Kumoja Communications has been on top of their game, making sure that all BFS objectives are met. We make it happen by targeting a niche market, focusing on the Primary target listener: LSM 6+ and LSM 1 -5 remains the secondary target. We developed and packaged content that was relevant to current personal finance trends/ behaviours. Content that promoted Smart transacting, Smart borrowing, Smart Insuring, Smart Saving and Investing.
To ensure adequate reach, kumoja chose SABC as the major broadcaster for Be Financially Smart shows, for the 2013 to 2015 series: airing in 9 African Language stations as well as Radio 2000 and SA FM.
